I've decided to skip on the mother-of-all-gaming-cons this year. Despite the good times of Gen Con 07 I just can't balance the amount of aggravation/effort for going with the amount of good times derived.
Perhaps if I drank, this wouldn't be such a problem.
Anyway this DOES leave me with something of a focus issue - not Warmachine Focus, dolts, but focus of my gaming energies. Typically either the Grand Tournament I'm attending or Gen Con or whatever sets the stage for what games/armies I'm going to pay attention to for the coming months. Lacking that, I'm going to have huge bouts of Mercurialality to contend with, and am liking to be all over the map as far as my Gaming Flavor Of the Day is concerned.
Nevertheless here's where it standard on Jan 11, 2007:
Rezolution - was SUPPOSED to play Prince Paul last night but he bailed 'cause he can't drive 55. Or at all. But I remain interested in playing more.
Warhammer - remains on my radar, with a tourney in Feb. very near on the horizon. Plus I have these High Elves to build.
40k - Good lord, this is never going away, because I seem to have ONE OF EVERY ARMY IN THE GAME
Warmachine/Hordes - was falling to the back burner but never seems to really slip off the list. (Well, not since the release of Apotheosis)
Battletech - still have a challenge with Aaron, and dammit, John HAS to play it, so he's not just a 40k-loving-loser.
Flames of War - it's fun, I'll add to my British.
That's all that comes to mind. which is the point.

GenCon 08
That's right. My vote is already in on going to GenCon 08.
Painting competition, warmachine/hordes and flames of war (if they drag themselves out there this year..)
And painting classes. And of course late night's at The Ram.
Now.. do I take Menoth, Trollbloods, Skorne or Khador...
